Blogs have become a modern avenue of journalism and publication. It has re-written the rules and values of literature. It is freedom to express yourself at low cost, unless you make slandering and seditious remarks on purpose. Being the kiasu Singaporean that i am, i wouldn’t dare offend the government.
The increase in popularity of blogs lies in the very nature of human beings- curiousity. Blogging is an irony in itself. A personal diary but yet open for all to read and discuss. Many use blogs to seek personal stardom to fame, others delight in controversies and some believe in delivering timely news and information. I chose blogging for the love of visual and digital design of a website. Of course, it started of to serve as a station for my friends to know how i am doing overseas in Melbourne.
‘Who are you and what do you want with me?’. I am willywei. And i don’t want anything from you. Of course, like a coward, i wouldn’t tell you my real name though my pseudonym sounds exactly like my real.
I started blogging in March 2004. And i have changed my blogskin for more than 5 times now.
Then time came when i realised more could be done with this web log. I could do something more constructive with this, i could change and impact the world! tell my friends about my life with God, be it the joys and woes i go through each day. And to show that it is possible to live an exciting life especially with Him around.
Born once, and die twice.
Born twice, and die once.
You will see my attempts to link everyday grinds with God. You will see things that happen in Melbourne that would never happen in Singapore. You will see me cook and upkeep my grandma’s culinary reputation. You will see me quote others without copyrights. You will see mystical codes that only a handful would understand. You will see totally random stuff. You will see me cry and whine. You will see me relating you to God. You will see me thrash a few theories and come up with my own.
Above all, you will see how God writes the life of my story.
Grow old along with meThe best is yet to be!
