Bangkok 2009 Day 2
Day 3 was more subdued. No shopping at all. Which was good! We paid about $40 each to hire a chauffeur and a private Toyota Camry bring us all over the touristy areas of Bangkok for the entire day. It also came with a free boat ride at the floating market. So that was a pretty good deal. It took us about an hour and a half from Bangkok City to the Floating Market.
Car Day Hire – SGD$42.20
Next stop, Samphran Elephant Ground and Zoo. It took a good hour to get there from the Floating Market.
Samphran Elephant Ground and Zoo entry ticket – SGD$21.00
Lunch at the zoo – SGD$1.70
And there was the ritual elephant show. To be honest, the first 20 minutes of the show was utterly boring. Only the later part where the elephants played soccer and fought with explosives, man that was an eye opener!
There was a joke previously about the elephant’s TUSK, which crystal was equally guilty of. Haha.
That’s pretty much all the sight-seeing we’ve done. Not a lot. Later in the afternoon the guys went to tailor shirts and we all went for a budget seafood feast dinner.
2 Tailor Made Shirts – SGD$71.30
Seafood Dinner – SGD$12.00
Total Day 3 – SGD$148.20
Next, the Muay Thai match that didn’t happen for us.
