Extensive Research as taught by Dad

Growing up wasn’t an easy phase for me. When I was fourteen, Dad left for Australia to keep up with his job in order to put bread and butter on the table. So in some sense, I didn’t manage to become very close to my Dad but he has always taught me invaluable skills that [...]

home cooked food

There’s something about home cooked food that stirs deep within my heart, even though it’s a simple grilled fish dish accompanied with stir-fried broccoli with prawns. When SM made that sweet dessert soup (i can’t remember what my grandma used to call it), it was a moment to savour because I was reminded of my late [...]

facebook makes your world go round

It’s one thing to be really close to your secondary school teachers, and another to finally add them to your facebook account as “friend”. ‘your time starts now’

It has been almost 6 months since i last sat for a standard academic examination. Today’s paper was sort of a ‘culture shock’ for me. I came to the exam hall (MSAC) early from a lift i got from my dad as he went to work. The only time i remembered seeing a vast sea of [...]

the week of holidays had too much going on to be enough of a ‘holiday’ for me. we had to deal with farewells and birthdays, then other stuff as well. it’s a pretty eventful week. i feel pretty sadden actually, because of chin anh’s departure. he’s not somebody i know extremely well, but we get along [...]
